Jungle overnight oats
- 40g Jungle Large Tiger Oat flakes
- 20g Chia seeds
- 10ml Honey or Maple syrup
- 180ml Low fat milk
- Flavour agents:
- 15ml Black cat Peanut butter
- 25g Cut strawberries for garnish
Flavour agent alternatives:
20g Blueberries
Leave out the Black cat peanut butter and replace with Blueberries.
20g Chopped Beacon Milk chocolate
Leave out the Black cat peanut butter and replace with chopped Beacon Milk Chocolate
- Mix the Honey (or Maple syrup) and milk together until dissolved.
- Add the Jungle oats and chia seeds into the milk mixture and mix well.
- Layer your ingredients in your serving dish (cover or seal to prevent the absorption of any other flavours from your refrigerator).
- Leave in the refrigerator overnight.
- To serve the next morning: simply garnish with cut Strawberries (or seasonal fruit) and serve.
Note:
When preparing larger batches: Prepare the milk, honey, chia seed and Jungle oat mixture in a sealable container. Leave it sitting overnight and carefully spoon the overnight oats mixture in your serving dishes the next morning, layering and flavouring as desired. Using a piping bag is helpful to ensure the edges stay clean and to prevent unnecessary messes. This is also a loadshedding saver!
