Colman's BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich
Pulled pork sandwiches are a staple for many and a great addition to most menu's. This recipe utilizes one of our other recipes, please see our Colman's Mustard BBQ sauce for the complete package.

Ingredients
- 1.81 kg Pork shoulder or butt
- 30 ml Oil for searing
- 20 g Brown sugar
- 5 g Chili powder
- 5 g Onion powder
- 5 g Garlic powder
- 5 g Cumin
- 5 g Kosher salt
- 5 g Black pepper
- 200 ml Rose's Cola tonic
- 1 batch Colman's Mustard based BBQ sauce
Method
- Trim pork of excess fat and cut into 4 pieces.
- Combine all the spices in a small bowl and rub all over the pork (this can be done as prep the night before).
- Over medium high heat with oil, sear the seasoned pork on all sides.
- Pre-heat the oven to 120 C.
- In a Dutch oven pot, fill with the seared pork and pour over the Rose's Kola Tonic.
- Cover with the lid and bake for 3 hours covered and 1 hour uncovered.
- Shred the soft pork and toss in the premade Colman's Mustard based BBQ sauce.
- To assemble a pulled pork sandwich, slice a ciabatta or crusty roll in 2. Toast the slices well before topping it with the pulled pork mixture.
